Financial Update



For the period ending March 31, 2014, Thompson Health had an operating gain of $994,000, compared to a budgeted operating gain of $233,000.   
    The hospital’s inpatient discharges have grown 1.2 percent year over year. Thompson has also experienced strong outpatient volume growth, with laboratory volume up 7.8 percent, primary care volume growth of 23.1 percent, and rehabilitation services up 11.3 percent from 2013 levels.  
    Occupancy in the M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center is on budget through March, while occupancy rates at Ferris Hills and Clark Meadows are exceeding budget.
    Expenses are running under budget by .4% percent, year to date.  The health system continues to focus on growing its revenues and fiscal sustainability to maintain expenses at appropriate levels.
